Psalms, Hymns, & Spiritual Songs

timeless teaching // Timeless Teaching Kenneth E. Hagin

IT'S GOD'S PLAN for Christians to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit and worship in the Spirit. The way we maintain a continual infilling and walk in the Spirit is through speaking divinely inspired utterances to the Lord.

These divinely inspired utterances can have several different means of expression. One way is to magnify and worship God in other tongues. We see this in Acts 10:46: "For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God." Paul also mentioned several other expressions.

EPHESIANS 5:19
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Colossians 3:16 also emphasizes worshipping the Lord.

Campmeeting 2015: God at Work

CM 2015 Article2ABroken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Campmeeting 2015 was characterized by energizing praise and worship, encouraging preaching, and extraordinary encounters with God.

Powerful speakers reminded the Campmeeting congregation that when we hope in God, we will never be disappointed. We need to judge Him faithful, study His Word, and value what He says. When rough times come, we should ask Him for help before we hit bottom. We can ask Him to help us see trouble as He does. That new perspective opens us up for victory.

The crowd was reminded that it's God's job, not ours, to bring His Word to pass. And Christians should expect to live supernatural lives and routinely see miracles. The congregation experienced some of those as people were healed.

Campmeeting 2015

CM 2015 Article3Growing in Faith; Walking in Power

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

The second half of Campmeeting 2015 brought messages as uplifting, challenging, and comforting as those earlier in the week. The people attending were reminded that God has a purpose for each of us, and our lives are too valuable to waste. Our words matter, and we must speak what we believe--not what we feel or see--for our faith to work.

We need to see who we are in Christ to walk in the victory God has given us. And it is growing clearer that to follow God and His ways, we cannot follow the world and its ways. Fear will try to convince us that God won't help us. But as we focus on Jesus and His love for us, that love will demolish every thought that there is no hope.
